Nice moderate hike on well marked trail. In early April 2017 there was lots of trees down due to storms. Many trees across trail but still passable. Trail is along Lake Zoar for part of the way but no great vistas. It must look amazing in the fall when the leaves change color.

Extensive marked and unmarked trails, varied ecology, not crowded, although you will meet a few folks especially near dramatic Prydden Falls.

Lake Zoar Trail was very nice. May 2017 a lot of downed trees still present. Total hike a little over 6 1/2 miles. Strenuous in some parts but a great hike. I did not see many people. Saw some deer and a rather large black snake.

Great hiking trails

Trails could be marked/maintained better. Good sized park for this area of ct
