I've been doing my own auto work for almost 40 years. I am really fussy when it comes to choosing a mechanic. Gary and the techs at Newtown Car Care are honest and very knowledgeable. They have never let me down and I am a loyal customer.
Pretty opaque on what work needs to be done, seem to be trustworthy. However, I had to have the same repair done 3 times in 1 year (bearing replacement). They didn't charge for the repeat work, but it was hard to understand why they couldn't have gotten it right the first time. Customer service is very good. Turnaround time is pretty average, they're pretty busy so you can't get an appt right away, and they aren't open on weekends.
Very honest, great pricing and service. Highly recommended. If I didn't do most of my own repairs, I'd use them a lot!
Good work, good people, clearly explaining in detail anything you want to know before any work is performed. The first time I decided to have them work on my car was because of the close proximity of my home. Not referred or anything. I've been to them a number of times for oil changes, brakes, and other things. I have no complaints. They are not expensive or cheap. They do good work, for a fair price.
